Pod-Blogging With Artificial intelligence
Artificial intelligence has grown from something inside a science fiction novel to a significant part of our lives. From turning Alexa into a household name to outsourcing essays courtesy of ChatGPT, it is hard to remember a time without technology at our fingertips. Where would we be without Google Maps? Lost, probably. The rise of AI been the source of unrest in the recent past (not least the cause of the Hollywood writer’s strike or the infamous downfall of Glasgow’s Willy Wonka experience) but there is no denying that AI can and is being used for good. Innovators like us here at the Includiverse are using AI as part of our mission to democratise content for some of the most disadvantaged of people, and on our journey to achieve this we cross paths with others who are working in similar ways.
We are using AI to increase accessibility to big screen entertainment with our Smart Glasses
Managing director and podcast fan Gareth Allen recently connected with Arup Biswas at Klaxon AI who came to us with the opportunity to create an AI generated podcast. The process is really simple. Start by sending over a something you would like to use as a script (we used our market hall blog post) however even this is not imperative! The team at Klaxon AI can create podcasts from scratch with or without a script. In less than 24 hours we had an eight minute track voiced by a female presenter - our very own AI generated podcast!
Podcasts themselves came onto the scene in the early 2000’s and rose to popularity in the mid-2010s thanks to Serial - a true crime podcast that was the first to reach five million unique downloads. The current podcast climate boasts an estimated five million genres to choose from and have evolved throughout the years. Live podcasting (like Innovation Conversations of which Gareth Allen is a featured guest) is increasingly popular and with the addition of AI, podcasting is on the cusp of a new era.
A look back to May 2024 where Gareth Allen recorded a live podcast at the SW Innovation Expo
Both Gareth Allen and Arup Biswas have been selected to represent their respective companies at the highly anticipated SXSW. Not long now!
